Therefore, I would not buy one of their products again. Maybe I just had a bad experience, but when I remeber the reviews I had read I'm inclined to think that maybe they have some quality issues. 6+ is constructed around a super lightweight chassis, ensuring the sensor position is perfectly balanced for tracking on your gaming surface. I'm not going to be spending £50 a year on replacing a mouse! Personally, I don't think that a mouse costing about £50 should fail just after a year - that's not good enough. Since it was out of warranty I took it apart to try and get it working but without any luck. Last month, at just 14 months old, it just died. I was really happy with it, not that I used most of the buttons, but probably about once per month the vertical movement would fail and I could only move the mouse left or right, at least until I unplugged it and put it back in. And that was my only concern with the RAT - quite a few of the reviews mentioned that theirs failed quickly, but they were in a minority and I really liked the one I had tried so I got one for Christmas 2014. I looked at a few others on Amazon but it's tricky to tell whether you will actually like a mouse or not just from looking at it on t'internet, though the reviews do help a bit. I'd used one at a gaming event and really liked the size and feel of it under my hand and it felt very precise. When I wanted to get my first ever gaming mouse I immediately went for the RAT 5. )Īnyway ,for the future i want something more reliable >.<Įdited by 1stWarlord, 31 March 2015 - 10:09 AM. (But you would think " eh ,if the old mouse is working why fix the other one?" well let me tell you the thing it glides on are broken on one side and it doesn't glide very well on this kind of surface. I'm damn sure I won't buy any madcatz products again. I'm pretty skeptical about Razer Products because they rely on Synapse 2.0 ,many people complained about it. So ,if I can't fix the gaming mouse anytime soon ,what do you guys think I should get? I was thinking about a Deathadder 2014 or something from Steelseries. I also own a mousepad from MadCatz ( it is actually designed for mice with optic sensors.) I've been using the RAT 5 in all the videos you can find there. Then ,I went on the internet and ordered a brand new MadCatz R.A.T 5 (-> the mouse Ive been using for the last year or so This is my Youtube Channel. I did not want to throw it away ,so I decided to keep it in a box. ( NOTE: That mouse uses the old 4000 DPI sensor ). For a reason or another the optic sensor decided to stop working properly. So ,the story begins about 1 year ago when my first MadCatz R.A.T 5 decided to break. Pretty decent mouse ,it gets the job done when ITS WORKING. For about 3 years now I have been using the MadCatz R.A.T 5 ( you can see it here: ).
